VLADIMIR ALEKSEEVICH BELOGLAZOV untimely passed away

The management of OJSC "UMMC" with great sadness informs that the Chief General Affairs Officer of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company VLADIMIR ALEKSEEVICH BELOGLAZOV untimely passed away on February 5, 2021.

Vladimir A. Beloglazov was born on November 24, 1956 in the city of Sverdlovsk. Throughout his life, Vladimir Alekseevich was devoted to the metallurgical industry.

 Vladimir Alekseevich started his career in 1979 in his Alma Mater - Ural Polytechnic Institute named after Sergey Kirov, where he worked his way up from an engineer of the Department of Heat Treatment and Physics of Metals to the Director of the Research Institute of Energy Saving and Automatization. He was PhD in Technical Sciences. At the end of the 90s of the last century, that were the difficult years for the industry, he became Deputy Minister of Metallurgy of the Sverdlovsk Region. He was the founder of the public organization "Drug-Free City Foundation".

Since 2001 Vladimir A. Beloglazov had been a long-time Chief General Affairs Officer of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, where he led a serious block of social issues. During his work, he became the driving force, leader and direct participant of the development of iconic projects of UMMC, such as: the "Children of Russia" Charity Foundation, UMMC-Agro, UMMC-Health, the UMMC Table Tennis Club, the UMMC Museum of Military Equipment, the UMMC Basketball Club, sambo club UMMC.

The General Affairs Office together with the "Children of Russia" Charity Foundation, within the framework of the company's promotion, organized and carried out such events as: festival-competition of Pop Amateur Art "Style of UMMC", festival "Days of UMMC Culture", competition "Singing family of UMMC", sports and entertainment show "Sem-Ya, Spartakiad among the organizations of the UMMC, the All-Russian festival competition "Diamond Edge", the international ballroom dancing tournament "Europe-Asia", the All-Russian youth regatta "Children of Russia", sports competitions for children who have survived cancer "Games of the winners", arrangement of play-rooms in children's hospitals "Children in the hospital" and much more. All events implemented with the direct participation of Vladimir Alekseevich became large-scale and significant, going far beyond the internal corporate ones.

Along with the implementation of projects, Vladimir Alekseevich carried out extensive public work, thanks to which he had a serious political weight in the regions of the company's presence. Vladimir Alekseevich closely interacted with state and municipal authorities in the regions and cities of UMMC presence, and with many public organizations. He paid special attention to the development of social programs for the Company's employees and their family members.

In 2016 Vladimir Alekseevich founded and headed the Ekaterinburg branch of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society, which in a short time became a reputable and significant public organization in the Sverdlovsk region. In the activities of the organization, one can recall many scientific, educational, publishing and pilgrimage projects related to the strengthening of the Orthodox faith. As part of the work of the organization and under the direct leadership of Vladimir Alekseevich, a monument to the Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna was erected in the city of Alapaevsk, and later a church was built in the name of this monastic martyr, which was consecrated by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

He was a responsible Leader and a generous Benefactor who could not ignore the pain of others. Not only was he at the origin and was the curator of the Project of helping seriously ill children "He Needs You", he took a personal part in saving children's lives. He laid the foundation for the organization of the Psychological Aid Service at the Center for Pediatric Oncology, attracted friends and partners to update the equipment of the Center. His energy, dedication, authority, ability to convince of the need for action allowed the Children's City Hospital No. 9, the largest Ural medical institution, to acquire a modern look, become technologically advanced, comfortable and safe for both doctors and patients.

Thanks to his professional and personal qualities - subtlety of mind, personal charm, and dedication to work, sense of duty, innate intuition, and incredible efficiency - he deservedly entered the history of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company and the lives of many people.

The activities of Vladimir Alekseevich have been repeatedly honored by State, regional and corporate awards. Among the numerous awards are: the Certificate of Honor of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Honorary Badge of Distinction "For Service to the UMMC" I degree, the Medal of the UMMC Order "For Labor and Honor" I degree, the Medal of the Order "For Service to the Motherland" II degree, the Badge of Distinction of the Sverdlovsk region "For Service to the Sverdlovsk region", III degree, "Badge of Honor" of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU), Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation, Order of the UMMC "For Labor and Honor" II degree, Certificate of Honor of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region, Order of Honor of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Alekseevich was always open to new proposals, loved and appreciated life, generously shared his experience and human warmth. The memory of Vladimir Alekseevich Beloglazov, his excellent business and personal qualities will remain in the hearts of his colleagues, friends, and people who knew him forever. For many people, the passing of Vladimir Alekseevich has become an irreparable loss.

Last respects to Vladimir Alekseevich Beloglazov will be held on February 9, 2021 (Tuesday)

in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral of the Novo-Tikhvin Monastery (Ekaterinburg, Zelenaya Roscha st., 1):

11:00 - 12:00 - civil funeral service;

12:00 - 12:40 - funeral service.

13:00 - burial at the Shirokorechenskoye cemetery (Ekaterinburg, Moskovsky tract, 7th kilometer).
